Can you go out on an action card in UNO?
Yes. Your last card can be any playable card, including an action card. If it's a Draw Two or Wild Draw 4, the next player still draws those cards, and they count when the round's points are added up.
The rule:
Yes, in UNO your last card can be any playable card, including an action card, and if you go out on a Draw Two or Wild Draw 4 the next player still draws 2 or 4 cards, which count when the round is scored.
- Playable cards can be your last. Numbers, Skips, Reverses, Draw Twos, Wilds and Wild Draw 4s all work.
- One case the sheet doesn’t cover: finishing on a Wild Shuffle Hands. That card redeals every card to every player, so agree as a group how to handle it.
- Draw cards still bite: after a final Draw Two or Wild Draw 4, the next player draws 2 or 4 cards.
- They count: those drawn cards are included when the round is scored.
The round ends as soon as someone has no cards left. Score it, then deal a new round if no one has reached 500 points.
Example:
Mia's last card is a Wild Draw 4. She plays it and goes out. Ana, next in line, draws 4 cards, and those 4 cards add to Mia's score for the round.
Why players argue about it:
Some groups play that you can't finish on an action card. The official rules allow it and even make the draw count toward the winner's points.
